Aramane violates rules Despite of making profits and the film running 100 days the Kannada film 'Aramane' is telecast in Kasthuri channel for this Ganesha festival. According to the KFCC guidelines the telecast of any recent film should be after six months and that too in case the films flopped in the box office. In such cases the producer seeks permission from the KFCC and from this letter given the Apex body would put up in the notice board for any claimants of that particular film. Then in the interest of the producer the nod is given for the telecast. The television channel for popularity gives some extra money to the producer.
Yes says the rules books. According to the box office report K.Manju's 'Aramane' made double the investment. It is in no way loss to the producer. The film also completed 100 days. In that case of the films that are well received in the box office they have to come after three years in the channels. 'Aramane' is not eligible to come on small screen not only before six months but also within three years of its release. In this case violation of KFCC rules the VCD rights holder would suffer badly because the film telecast once in a private satellite channel it would lose all the anxiety. With KFCC President away in United States of America to attend the World Kannada Conference organized by 'AKKA' such violations are taking place? |
