Darshan-Sadhu back with a remake
8th July 2009 - 8:00am
Darshan-Sadhu
Kokila who gave some films like 'Suntaragaali' and 'Anaatharu' is back
with a new film which is yet to be titled. The film is a remake of Telugu
hit 'Shouryam' and is being produced by Basavaraj and friends. They have
bought the remake rights of the film for 7.5 lakhs. The film was launched
on Wednesday at the Kanteerava Studio.
Sadhu says the film is an out and out commercial venture
with all mass elements attached to it. The reason why Sadhu opted for
this film is the brother and sister sentiment which he says would be the
highlight of the film. The artistes for the role of sister and heroine
are yet to be finalised as the actual shooting of the film starts only
after September 5th.
Darshan plays a cop in this film. 'I liked the story
immensely because the hero accepts his sister only in the climax. Till
then both of them know they are real brother and sister, both of them
does not meet for some reasons. I liked the sentiment, moreover the film
suits my image' said Darshan.
Darshan says he has not recommended anyone for the role
of sister and the heroine because it is the producer's responsibility
and he doesn't interfere in their matter. Sadhu praised Darshan for his
attitude and called him a 'director's actor'.
Though the team has a couple of titles like 'Shourya'
and 'Bhadra', the film is yet to be titled. K V Raju is writing the dialogues
for the film, while Ramesh Babu is the cameraman. Sadhu has also taken
the additional responsibility of providing the music. The film will be
shot in Bangalore, Hubli and Belagaum.
