Dasara film festival 2008 inaugarated

Dasara Film Festival was inaugurated by Smt Dr.Jayamala Ramachandra, president
of Karnataka film chamber of commerce in Mysore on Tuesday evening. The
jam packed evening was attended by chief guest Golden Star Ganesh, directors
Girish kasaravalli, Madan Patel, and representatives of KFI and state
government.
Dr.Jayamala Ramachandra, who inaugurated the 9 days dasara film festival - 2008, said awareness on Kannada films should be brought to students by making cinema clubs in colleges and educational institutions.
Minister for Shobha Karandagle, assured of implementing gunda act against rising piracy that is killing the growth of KFI.
Director Girish kasaravalli, senior actor Umesh and others were felicitated during this occasion.
About 49 films will be screened during the 9 days Dasara Film Festival across 7 theaters in palace city Mysore.
