20th April 2009 - 10:00am
Art director Mohan B Kere has erected a huge bar
set for an item song in the film 'Jeeva' using beer bottles. If everything
goes right the set will earn a place in the Limca Book of World Records.
Speaking about the set, 'nearly 40 thousand beer
bottles is used for this particularly set. The bottles were purchased
from two-three agencies and were cleansed with chemical wash. For cleaning
each bottle an amount of Rs. 2.60 was spent. This is an item song choreographed
by director Prabhu Srinivas himself. Prajwal is matching the steps along
with Shraddha Sharma for this song' says producer Paramesh.
Mohan said it took 50 people and 15 days to erect
the set. 'We thought it won't take many days, but it was a tedious task.
For this 3 and a half minutes song the producers have spent nearly 25
lakhs. We are planning to move to Limca Book of World Records. We have
already informed them and if everything goes right we will get a place
in the Limca records' say Mohan.
Prajwal said many dignitaries from the film industry
are coming to have a look at the sets. He is happy that he is a part of
this song and the film.
The shooting of the film is almost complete. Only
one song is pending and the team will be leaving along with Prajwal and
Rutva for shooting the song in Pondicherry.
