KANFIDA AWARDS - 2008 presented

The 2007 year Karnataka Film Directors Association that coincided with the silver jubilee of the association took off very well in a glorious style but ended looking pale because of the maximum attendance not staying at the even throughout.

Veteran of South Indian cinema the 100 plus director and producer K.Raghavendra Rao was the outside recipient of the KANFIDA this year was greeted with shawl, garland, trophy by Karnataka chief minister B.S.Yediyurappa in the presence of information minister Khatta Subramaniam Naidu, Smt.Parvathamma Rajakumar, Dr.Vishnuvardhana, Ambarish, Dr.Jayamala, KCN Chandrasekhar and S.V.Rajendra Singh Babu.

Reacting to the inaugural speech made by SVR Singh Babu the Karnataka chief minister promised to look in to the Dr.Rajakumar Cinema University and Film Complex on international standards with private participation. The government has already release one crore out of five crore announcement to Dr.Rajakumar memorial the CM disclosed.
