28th July 2009 - 8:00am
Bianca
Desai starrer 'Koffi Shop' cast and crew which has finished almost 50%
of the shooting in Hyderabad is in Bangalore to shoot major portions in
the city. The film which is being simultaneously made in Kannada, Telugu
and Tamil will also be shot in Chennai next month. The film's first press
meet was recently held at the Atria.
'Koffi Shop' is being directed by Geethakrishna, an associate
of K Vishwanath and he himself has made some recognisable films in Telugu.
Though he has worked for many films as an associate in Kannada, this is
his first independent venture.
Geethakrishna has written the story for this film with
terrorism as the background. 'I was disturbed about some facts of terrorism.
I have written the story based on those facts. The film is all about a
mind game and the story revolves around a couple and a child. Shashank
and Bianca Desai plays the couple while Atul Kulkarni, Girish Karnad have
prominent roles in the film' says Geethakrishna.
Bianca Desai plays the heroine in all the three languages
and she got the offer because of her Kannada along with her acting skills.
'I have been playing glamorous roles all along and for the first time
I am playing a soft character in this film. It's quit difficult to act
in three languages simultaneously. It's a challenge and I am sure I can
show my potential here in the film' said Bianca Desai.
This is Shashank's 11th film and he opines that it's a
wonderful experience working in all the three languages. Raghu who has
worked as a cameraman for Geethakrishna's many films is the cameraman
here.
