'Minchu' to release on May 1st
27th April 2009 - 7:00pm
'Minchu'
a remake of Tamil hit 'Thimiru' is all set to release on May 1st. The
film which stars Siddhanth and Janith Dooda in lead roles is being produced
by Venugopal Nayak while Vishal Raj is the cameraman.
Vishal Raj says when he had a tough time to find
the protogaonists for this particular film. 'I met Siddanth in Mumbai.
He was learning martial arts under Yajneesh Shetty. I found him suitable
for the role. Though I found the hero, it was a tough time selecting a
heroine for the role of Archana. The role is a difficult one and a similar
one to what Manjula played in the film 'Sampattige Saval'. I though Archana
of 'Aa Dinagalu' would do the justice to it and yes she has done a wonderful
job' discloses Vishal Raj.
Siddanth
who has an Hospital Administration degree from UK said that he didn't
require to act in the first half of the film as he plays a doctor there.
'The second half was not only tough but a contrast to my life. I have
tried my best in giving a good performance' says Siddanth. He has full
praise for Archana and her performance in the film. 'Archana used to be
very silent in the sets and was not talking to anyone properly. I came
to know the reason later that she was too much involved in the role and
didn't want herself to be disturbed' said Siddanth.
Producer Venugopal Nayak said he is very much happy
about how the film has shaped up and is hoping for a success.
