Shashank's
teenage love story 'Moggina Manassu' has bagged five out of 11 awards
at the 56th Ideal South Indian Filmfare awards held recently at Hyderabad.
The awards included the best film, best director (Shashank), best actress
(Radhika Pandith), best supporting actress (Shubha Poonja) and best supporting
actor (Yash).
The team overwhelmed with the awards they got, recently
held a press meet at the Gold Finch on Monday. Shashank said it was his
seven years dream to do such a kind of film. 'I was supposed to make a
debut with this film, but somehow no one was interested to take such a
risk until producer E Krishnappa came. Though the shooting was completed
smoothly, the film ran into trouble with the censor board. I was really
upset during those days and it is indeed the result of my tears that I
got such a prestigious award' says Shashank.
Radhika Pandith said she was watching the Filmfare awards
every year in childhood and it was her ambition to bag an award. 'I am
really overwhelmed to get an award so early in my career' said Radhika.
Shubha Poonja, E Krishnappa also expressed their happiness
for winning the awards.
