The ring master is the reel eator
1st Sep 2008 - 8:30pm
Who is the ring master in cinema making? That is the director.
He is also cajoled as reel master. When a director screams and slaps artists
who eat reels that is negative by taking more takes for a particular he
himself is the big eater of negative in this case we are explaining to
you.
Director
Om Prakash Rao is setting record by consuming 2 lakh feet of negative
for the film ‘Kiran Bedi’ starring Malashri in the title. This would amount
to lab amount of Rs.1 crore for producer Ramu. But what is the waste out
of 2 lakh feet shot for the film. 1 lakh and 86000 is the waste as only
a maximum of 14000 is kept for screening in the theatres.
Bappare Bappa! What one should say for this kind of director
Om Prakash Rao? The wastage is given to a person like Girish Kasaravalli
he would make six films shooting a maximum of 30 to 35000 feet for his
films. What would be in return for persons like Ramu? Many awards and
the fame increases at the national and international level.
This
is only hallucination but in real terms this type of good imagination
does not work out. But why a director like Om Prakash Rao should consume
so much of negative? It is because of his varied thinking and shooting
whatever he feels like.
Humble producer Ramu explaining this tale of woes disclosed
that in those days Om Prakash Rao for ‘AK 47’ shot one lakh 60000 feet
for the film for 13500 final stay in the projector rooms.
