Rajan felicitated!

Rajan of the Rajan-Nagendra duo known for their melodious and simple music was felicitated recently at the India tales - Airtel Karunada Sangeetha Vaibhava function held at the Chowdaiah Memorial hall. A Platinum pack of five CD's containing 60 best songs of their compositions which were remade specially under Rajan's direction was released on the same occasion.

Dwarkish who was present as the chief guest said, that the credit of many of his successful films goes to Rajan-Nagendra duo. 'I came to the industry hearing Rajan-Nagendra's songs. Even before I entered the industry and when I was in high school I had got many prizes for singing Rajan-Nagendra's songs. They composed music for many of my films which were highly successful. The credit of the success simply goes to them' said Dwarkish.

Rajan said music and fans are like god to him. 'Three months back Indian Tales came with the project of remaking our songs in digital system. Through this system I have tried to perfect our songs and reach to larger audience' said the overwhelmed Rajan.

Rajan was honoured at the nostalgic function by Parvatamma Rajkumar and Dwarkish. The function was attended by veterans like Siddalingaiah, Dr. Doddarangegowda, Geethapriya Bhargava and Dr. Jayamala. SP Balasubramaniam concluded the evening with his wonderful rendering of 'Pavadisu Parmatma' song from the film 'Sri Srinivasa Kalyana'. Before that a host of singers like Manjula Gururaj, Ajay Warrier, M D Pallavi, Mayuk, Subbalakshmi, Archana Udupa, Sinchan Dixith, Gangotri Rangaswami, Badari Prasad and Anuradha Bhatt sang some melodious songs composed by the duo.
