Shankaracharya - tale of Punyakoti

The 'Punyakoti' tale is very significant and well known among all. Such a humble 'Hasu' (cow) in our life is not taken as subject by our film makers. Off beat film 'Kurunadu' director G Murthy an established art director of over 80 films in Kannada has taken up 'Shankaracharya' Kannada film in the quasi commercial angle to direct that is based on the cow protection, importance etc.

The standing example of cow protection is Sri Ramachandrapura Math of Sri Raghaveshwara Swamiji of Hosanagara taluk where more than 10000 cows are given shelter. Milk is universal product in all the religion also it is used for various purposes. When the ornaments and diamonds are tucked inside the earth it would not give good results but the cow dung that is used for cultivation gives splendid results says G.Murthy who has consulted the respected Swamiji and convinced him to give a message in the film.

At Nilavara where the 'Go shala' is spread out on 25 acres of land is used for the shooting purpose and the animal welfare department has been sought for this film. In Brahmavar, Kokarna Kolake Bailu shooting will be held says director Murthy.

Producer Srinivas Sooda produced two films in 1990 Athimadhura Anuraga directed by PH Vishwanath and in 1995 'Hendathi Andre Heegerabeku'. He is coming back after 12 years with Amaranath Gowda a civil engineer by profession who has constructed buildings is now constructing a cinema.
