Rs 4 Crore banking on Sri Murali
17th Sep 2008 - 10:30am

Sri MurliOnce again a big investment on the only two hit films hero Srimurali. After Chandra Chakori and Kanti (average) Srimurali films failed miserably in the box office and one thing surfaced he is not fit for very big investments.

Just a few ago Srimurali with his brother Vijaya Raghavendra in 'Minchina Ota' could not assure the returns in the direction of AMR Ramesh and now the debutant producer Pai Group is investing Rs.4 crores on Srimurali alone with the beautiful Sharmila Mandre as heroine.

The debutant director Amarnath not making right home work on the expenditure has locked the producer of 'Shivamani' with so much of amount. Ajay Pai agrees to the point that the expenditure is huge but things did not work out according to the expectations is what he says. But what the others were doing? Is it not responsibility of everyone to save the new producer? Where are we going wrong? GOK!

The 65 days shooting for 'Shivamani' is over in places like Bangalore and Doddaballapur bus stands, Jss college, mining areas, Kulu Manali and Rohtham Pass in three schedules. The presence of producer Ajay Pai solves most of the problems. The three days delay was due to the problem at Chikanayakanahalli mining and the crew had to shift. In other action scene Srimurali caught up with a nail and just before the completion of climax he fell ill resulted in postpone of shooting for two weeks. Ajay Pai recollected the 'Sihi and Kahi' experience and concluded that he had learnt lot of good lessons from this film.

This film 'Shivamani' has all the ingredients for the present youth and I have visualized the film earlier before coming to sets disclosed director Amaranath.

Srimurali is happy man for the narration given in the film. The stunts and gripping story line is very interesting he feels. Actress Sharmila Mandre recalled her difficulty shooting in the ice cold weather of Rhotham Pass where she had to take the help of rugs and sweaters.

Veteran Ramesh Bhat at the media address informed that his type of producers should win for more than one reason. They give good hospitality and look after the artists and technicians very well are not the only reasons. They have interest in making good cinema. He remembered the Malgudi Days night shooting while shooting for this film.
