Supporting Artists - No Support

The supporting artists of Kannada cinema have sky rocketed their remuneration and most of them have become daily wage lavish earners ranging from Rs.30000 to Rs.1.50 lakhs.

The bizarre of newcomers are screaming at the top of voice that they are not getting support from the supporting artists. The indiscipline among the newcomers who shoot for a few days and block the dates of senior actors is irking for many as the scores of films launched in the wake of success of 'Mungaru Male' and 'Dhuniya' have fallen flat with lack of funds.

Comedy hero Komal Kumar and character artist Rangayana Raghu are charging Rs.1.50 lakhs each per day for a work of 12 hours. Ananthnag is
content with Rs.1 lakh per day, the fire brand actor Adhi Lokesh is charging Rs.60000 per day while a sample from female Vinayaprasad is not ready to come anything less than Rs.50000 for one day acting while Thulasi Shivamani is taxing Rs.30000 per day for her performance. Doddanna is available for Rs.50000 while Sadhu Kokila is nearing to Rs.25000 per day but he has the assignment of re-recording, music direction and film direction.

It is only in the case of Shivaramanna the things are not working out in his direction. An impressive actor Shivaramanna is quite often heard as jobless.
