Sangama "Monotonous"
- movie review - 26th Oct 2008
The
much expected Kannada film 'Sangama' from SV Productions is routine
and narration is simple. The talkative Ganesh has nothing much to
do and once again he does two action scenes. After 'Bombaat' he
is more in to action packed film but the reaction from his what
catchy! ...

- Movie Review - 19th Oct 2008
A
director has to be checked thoroughly of his intelligence and strength
in handling the film. A producer has got every right to do like
that instead of facing the disaster results from such half baked
director like Srinivasaraju....

Review - 18th Oct 2008
'The
disadvantage of this film is its length. It needs further half an
hour chop. Ravishanker and Kiran Govi actor and director respectively
from the small screen have done a neat job. It is far away from
vulgarity, double meaning and senseless action scenes.....

Coming
straight to the good elements there is some powerful action, equally
powerful performances from Puneeth, Lakshmiji and Nikita Tukral. The
human emotions between mother and son are quite impressive but what
is not impressive is the excess of fights and the story content....

'PUC'
– Please You See says the caption. It is absolutely fitting when we
come out from the theatre watching this movie. But what directors
SR Brothers who faced a crashing defeat from 'Nanjundi' should know
is that they should not teach philosophy. They have tried to include
everything and made the film bit lengthy to watch.....

Like
seven wonders Upendra in seven different get ups – he is a brother,
Panchamrutha, Ashok Mittal, Zakir Hussain, Samara Simha Reddy, Shyamprasad,
Rajaneesh to give something worthwhile not to the women he goes behind.
What is life he gives a lesson, what is our culture he addresses in
the court of law, what is the duty of a woman....
Patre Loves Padma - Movie Review
- 27th Sep 2008
The
big hope that this film director Chandrasekhar Srivatsav has built
up from the day one by his too much of talk and of course with songs
captured makes balderdash. The ideology of this director is incorrect
and he has loads of negative thoughts in his mind at every area of
society....

Naveen
Krishna's make or break film has come at the right time in a right
way. The redeeming feature of this film is the screenplay, dialogue,
Naveen Krishna, Asha Saini performance, cinematography and tolerable
music. This is a carefully thought out cinema....
Ganesha
Matte Banda - Movie Review - 6th Sep 2008
What
makes this film 'Ganesha Matthe Bandha' nodable is that it is efficient
in screenplay and significant in contents and dialogues. Nowhere it
crosses the limit and the final message for the arranged and love
marriage fraternity Phani comes with a solution. There is a separate
cell that is monitoring all ups and down in the society......

- Movie Review - 5th Sep 2008
The
birth of a new hero is tucked with all the ingredients but how come
the hero Pankaaj has not been advised to undergo treatment from a
dentist. Is it the last minute preparation of Kannada cinema industry’s
pride S.Narayan? Except the bulging teeth and dialogue delivery this
is one absolutely fits the youngster Pankaaj.....

Previous
debacles have not taught any lessons for director Ravi Srivatsa. He
has gone extreme in this action extravaganza. The mayhem and kitsch
is torturing to the normal brains. Where Ravi Srivatsa is taking the
Kannada film industry?.....

Koli Nungitta - Its swallowing time - 23rd
Aug 2008
A
copy cat of Telugu film 'Maheshwari' (starring Venkatesh and Katrina
Kaif) the film 'KKN' in Kannada in the cans for a long time and it
is nice to see Pooja Gandhi in 'Mungaru Male' personality. It is just
after this film release she signed this film in February 2007.
Antu
Intu Preethi Bantu - A prolonged love saga -
16th Aug 2008
'Adavari Matalaku Ardhale Verule' Telugu
film is 'Anthu Inthu Preethi Banthu' in Kannada. Like the film title
the film is also long and protracted. The second half elements should
have been in the first half with flash back techniques to make it
very interesting instead of what is shown in the cinema.
Arjun - Bombastic
action in Arjun - 16th Aug 2008
What is common in the two releases of
this week 'Arjun' and 'Anthu Inthu Preethi Banthu'. Both the film
names start from the letter 'A'. No. In both the films the importance
is given to father and son relationship. It is Aanthnag and Darshan
in 'Arjun' and Srinivasamurthy and Aditya Babu in 'Anthu Inthu Preethi
Banthu'.
Bombat - Bombat
in Bindaas style - 11th Aug 2008
The senior director D.Rajendra Babu has
given a 'Bombaat' film in 'Bindhaas' style! That is OK at what cost?
This is what sickening. Has become another Om Prakash Rao? The answer
is positive because he has taken the clips from half a dozen Telugu
and Tamil films.
Nanda Deepa-
Movie Review - 28th Jul 2008
Already a senior technician and producer
Anaji Nagaraj has catered this film to rural parts. Even in rural
areas the Saas Bahu Beti serials are more interesting with curves,
twists and turns. For a section of audience this type of film is
made there are no takes for the routine going on in the screen.
Tajmahal -
A director with diligence - 24th Jul 2008
Here is a director to watch. The debut
of R.Chandru is worth writing about. The Shahjahan of Moghul Dynasty
built Taj Mahal for his Begum in 1632 but this 'Taj Mahal' in Kannada
is constructed by this director for the hero after a long love story
with twists, turns, emotions, poverty, romance on screen.
Bandu Balaga
- Money power Vs Emotional power - 7th Jun
2008
'BANDHU BALAGA' – This is a hard ware
cinema. Peeping in to yesteryears undivided family and huge family
meeting on occasions in the present day context adding it up with
masala elements story writer Janardhan Maharshi has fooled the producer
Soorappa Babu and Kamalakar.
Neene Neene
- Kasta bandaga Naane Naane - 7th Jun 2008
'NEEN NEENE' – What next the duo Abisekh
and Nandini keep asking very often. We would tell the director to
make it fast in the second half and ask him to take the scissors.
Then what next is that the people of Karnataka should watch this
film and support the producer Basava Reddy to get back his money.
Mussanje Maatu -
Sudeep turns social studies teacher - 17th
May 2008
The social study subject that is taught
in text books is not enough knows the director Mahesh Babu in his
debut film. That is why he picked the tale in parts from social
life and stitched it with the help of technology of the 21st century.
He catches with the lovely star like Sudeep in transmitting the
message.
Gange
Baare Tunge Baare - Good in parts - 17th
May 2008
Kokila Sadhu fails to impress after 'Anatharu'
that he directed in the last year. The maturity in Prajwal Devaj
is still not ripe enough to counter two heroines and emotional circumstances.
This is ala 'Huliya Halina Mevu' of Annavru starring Jayaprada and
Jayachitra. Even the heroines in that cinema were called as 'Ganga
and Thunga'.
