P.U.C - "An Eye Opener" movie review

'PUC' – Please You See says the caption. It is absolutely fitting when we come out from the theatre watching this movie. But what directors SR Brothers who faced a crashing defeat from 'Nanjundi' should know is that they should not teach philosophy. They have tried to include everything and made the film bit lengthy to watch.

The statement the film makes at one point of time 'Kashta Manushyana Rupisathe and Sukha Rakshana Rupisathe' is debatable because all those who are immersed in 'Sukha' that is happiness are not 'Rakshasas'.

Keep such things at one side and watch this film without Sadhu Kokila comedy with a beggar it is tolerable. You have the toiling parents who consider every drop of sweat is for the upbringing of their son. The father gives up his kidney for the education of his son but in turn the son sacrifices his love for the better living of himself and his parents. This is wanted from the younger generation. SR Brothers wins at this point of time in the film.

Here is a tale of a loving parents and son Bavish. The father works in the onion yard to earn for his son education. In the age not to fall in love Bavish falls in love with Gowri. That's it you would say. No life has some very pleasant areas the parents teach the son. The high ranking student Bavish gets second class in PUC because his mind has diverted. But Gowri is cool and gets high marks she has a very strict father who is a retired judge. Things go hanky dory when Bavish father hand over Rs.50000 as advance to join for engineering college. Bavish is not able to express that he has secured second class in PUC to his parents who really go sick with this result.

Bavish finds new Bavishya in his life and shows it to the world even after doing degree he could make a business tycoon. In the process he had to lose his fiancé for someone but he has made his parents happy and dilkush is his great satisfaction in life.

We want children to mould like this is what SR Brothers bothers your mind and make to think for the younger generation.

What is lovely part is Chetan Chandra (it seems he has the back of ex Don Muthappa Rai). Kannada cinema industry has got a handsome looking youngster who has shown promises to stay ahead. Harshika Poornacha should stay at a distance to look beautiful. Karishma is good for nothing. Avinash and Vinayaprakash are the lovely pair who attract whenever they come on screen.

Three lovely songs are scored by Raviraj the student of Hamalekha. Summane Summane…Priya Geleya….Edeyantharaladalli are very pleasant tunes. It is a winner for Raviraj. Suresh Babu is splendid in his cinematography. The editing of the film is also very sharp.

This is a family viewing film.
